  Carl Walter Kinser [1900-1965]

Carl was born 2 Aug 1900 in Knoxville, Tennessee. His family moved between Tennessee and South Carolina to farm and work in cotton mills. He joined the US Navy when he was 18 and was in active duty until May 1941 and left Pearl Harbor 7 months before the bombing. He was a Recruiter, Bugler and Chief Commisary Steward. He received an Undesirable Discharge from the US Navy on 13 Oct 1948 because of conviction by civil authorities. As an adult he was 5' 8 1/2" tall, 158 lbs., blue eyes and light brown hair. He married Helen Maurice Heard abt. 1927. They had 2 children and were divorced (?).. At the end of his life he lived at 431 1/2 E. Broadway, Long Beach, CA, and was a dishwasher at the Crown Cafeteria Restaurant. He died 28 Nov 1965 of Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease and was cremated at Forest Lawn Crematory in Cypress, CA.
